Leah Dwyer is passionate about patient advocacy, pain education and furthering the field of Remedial Massage Therapy.

In 2020, Leah was the only NSW representative to a 9 member committee tasked with revising and updating the national Diploma of Remedial Massage.

In 2021, Leah was approached to be a founding member of Our Recovery, an organisation run by people with lived experience of pain for people with chronic pain. She has been involved as a Chief Investigator and Assistant Investigator in two recent pilot studies at Sydney University involving opioid and gabapentinoid harm reduction. The opioid harm reduction pilot study was recently accepted to the British Medical Journal for publication.

Leah has also appeared in numerous television, newspaper and radio interviews discussing chronic pain and opioid harm reduction. Her most recent appearance was on the ABC show You Can’t Ask That – Prescription Drugs and a Sky News Special Investigation on Australia's Opioid situation.
